Writing for Social Issues

  • We are now accepting proposed issues and articles for this new journal.
  • Send to: social.issues@whb.co.uk
  • Articles should be sent as attachments in MS Word, or in RFT. Please use Arial font if possible and avoid complex formatting. Try and follow the simple formatting used in the current online journal articles. Try and keep footnotes to a minimum. Include a 100-200 words abstract.
  • Articles should be 2,000-5,000 words in length.
  • All articles submitted pass their legal copyright to White Horse, although we will not publish the articles in other publications without the writers consent.
  • We welcome articles on contemporary social issues, ideally pursuing a social science/social studies analysis.
  • We reserve the right to not publish articles that are judged unsuitable, you will be informed as soon as possible of our decision.
  • Editorial advice is taken from a number of academics in the UK and Europe.
  • If you are interested in joining our editorial and referee group in 2004, please contact us.
  • We wish to promote writing that is accessible to students.
  • Articles that seek to disseminate research findings are also welcome.
  • Editors and Writers are encouraged to identify discussion questions at the end of their issues/articles.
  • References should use the Harvard referencing convention.
  • We make no payment and articles must not have been published elsewhere.
