Writing for Social Issues
- We are now
accepting proposed issues and articles for this new journal.
- Send
to: social.issues@whb.co.uk
- Articles
should be sent as attachments in MS Word, or in
RFT. Please use Arial font if possible and avoid
complex formatting. Try and follow the simple
formatting used in the current online journal
articles. Try and keep footnotes to a minimum.
Include a 100-200 words abstract.
- Articles
should be 2,000-5,000 words in
length.
- All
articles submitted pass their legal copyright to
White Horse, although we will not publish the
articles in other publications without the
writers consent.
- We
welcome articles on contemporary social issues,
ideally pursuing a social science/social studies
analysis.
- We
reserve the right to not publish articles that
are judged unsuitable, you will be informed as
soon as possible of our decision.
- Editorial
advice is taken from a number of academics in
the UK and Europe.
- If you are
interested in joining our editorial and referee group in 2004,
please contact us.
- We
wish to promote writing that is accessible to
students.
- Articles
that seek to disseminate research findings are
also welcome.
- Editors and
Writers are encouraged to identify discussion questions at
the end of their issues/articles.
- References
should use the Harvard referencing
convention.
- We
make no payment and articles must not have been
published elsewhere.
